THE TAPPEDIn TEAM
Justin oversees technology architecture and provides overall technical direction for TappedIn. He has been developing software for the past 15 years across several industries. Justin has worked on large insurance systems, built scouting applications for the Chicago Bears, and also worked on enterprise-wide applications for a Fortune 100 company.
Justin worked at several Applebee's restaurants over a span of four years, holding positions from bartender, to server, to trainer. He also worked at Sirloin Stockade washing dishes and serving; which is where he met his future wife!
Clarence is the VP of Hardware Technologies for TappedIn. His background is mainly in product and platform development and operations. Clarence’s 15 years of experience has centered on product management of telecommunication systems. He has worked on countless projects, including launching a life safety communication product line.
Clarence worked as a busboy for five summers at his uncle’s Chinese restaurant in Naperville, Illinois.
Andy leads the sales & account management efforts for TappedIn. He joined the team after Joe pitched him the WiFi On Tap solution while he was managing his bar. Andy loved the opportunity to help solve the marketing problem all independent operators face. Andy is also the proud new father of a baby girl!
Andy has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in just about every position including GM, VP of operations, bar manager, events producer, and director of marketing. He also cofounded the Wise Owl in Chicago’s popular West Loop. He started off bartending in 1998 and his passion and dedication to the industry has continued since.
Maeve focuses on marketing and branding efforts for TappedIn, with a focus on the brand-side initiatives. She started her career on the supplier side, working for Pernod Ricard, specifically for Jameson Irish Whiskey. She also has extensive experience in marketing and product management for Sony and Google, as well as experience consulting for a range of startups.
Maeve’s industry experience includes working for Jameson across several markets including California and Florida, where she worked with 400+ accounts across 6 territories to increase sales and advocacy.
Teddy leads our media and creative productions department, creating video and experiential promotions that tell the world about our amazing clients. He earned two Emmy Awards for hosting and producing “Chicago’s Best” on WGN-TV. Teddy has three boys, loves craft beer, good food, and random conversations with great people!
Teddy loves Chicago and the restaurant industry. In fact, he grew up in the business as his parent's owned pubs and restaurants while he was growing up. Teddy worked in most positions at one time or another, including co-owning his own place, so he fully understands the challenges restauranteurs face. He feels blessed to have been able to work with and promote over 500 bars and restaurants over his career and is always looking forward to the next one!
Caitlin manages social media for multiple clients as well as oversees our overall social strategy. Before Tappedin she built and managed social media for various theatres, including the Texas Shakespeare Festival as well as for herself as a professional actor. In addition to her acting career, she is also a professional singer, harpist, accordionist, dancer, and voiceover artist, working nationally and internationally.
Caitlin hosts trivia nights at bars across Chicago for Sporacle. In fact, that is how she got to work for TappedIn - she was hosting a trivia night when Joe met her and the rest was history! She also was an emcee for bands in the beer garden at Navy Pier and worked Harry Caray's Tavern at Navy Pier.
Rebekah manages social media for several of our clients. She was previously a data analytics intern at CH Robinson, a marketing intern for Savvo, and has a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Rebekah has won awards for filmmaking and likes to shoot videos and photos.
Rebekah has over 7 years of hospitality experience, working as a supervisor at Taylor Street Pizza and as a server at Dylan’s Candy Bar. She has also been a barista at Starbucks for 3 years.
Joe creates the vision and builds and supports the team. After business school, he wanted to merge his new love of entrepreneurship with his passion for bars and restaurants and has been working on new ventures in the food & bev space ever since. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Joe worked in the hospitality industry for 11 years in positions from bartender to beverage director to general manager. He opened two RA Sushi restaurants as the GM. He has a huge passion for wine, holding a level III sommelier certification, previously started a wine marketing startup called Savvo, and is slowly writing a wine tourism guide about wine-related travel locations.
